We're a collective of six friends, with one passion - finding incredible small batch coffee. 

We’re the only independent coffee roaster in central Colchester. We roast fresh coffee in small batches for people who care about flavour, freshness, and where their coffee comes from.

You’ll find a rotating selection of coffees - some classic and comforting, others more adventurous - but always roasted with balance and drinkability in mind.

If you’re new to specialty coffee, we’ll guide you. If you’re deep into brewing, we’ll happily talk grind size, extraction, and roast curves.

Our Brand Vision

As the world moves further away from human input, we want this business to hold a quiet middle finger up to AI. Every design on this site - including the logo - started as a hand-drawn sketch in pen and ink before being brought into the digital world, imperfections and all!

Coffee passes through many hands across many countries before it reaches your cup. From the growers tending the bushes, to the people picking and processing the cherries, to us roasting each batch by hand and delivering as many orders as we can ourselves. We’re committed to keeping the human element visible, and paying tribute to the people further up the chain who make it all possible.
